How much does a tattoo cost?
At Chef de Tattoo we try to be as fair we can be! This depends from size, place of the body, details etc etc. Once we have a good idea of what you're going to get, we can give you an exact price. We don't give any prices by e-mail !

Can you make me a cheaper price?
Yes off course. . . if we would switch off the lights, switch off the aircondioning, don't use new needles, don't sterilize our equipment, don't have to pay taxes, don't have to be experienced and educated, don't use the highest standards colors, don't have to pay the rent, don't clean our shop, don't use water and soap, don't be serious about my tattoowork !
Anyway, I hope you understand my point!

How old do i have to be to get a tattoo or piercing done?
At Chef de Tattoo you have to be;
18-years old for a tattoo
16 years for piercings,
with Your ID that says so !

Do I need a appointment?

No, you don't but an appointment is recommended. When i am tattooing somebody else, i can't tattoo you at the same moment!

How do I make a appointment?
First you visit our studio so we can speak and work out your tattoo idea. We will speak about the price and than if you like you can make an appointment. Making an appointment will require a small deposit which goes toward the final cost of your tattoo.

What do i need to do before you tattoo me?
Have a good night's sleep, eat a meal. Drink something with a high sugar level. (No alcohol or other drugs!)

I am afraid that i might pass out?
Passing out doesn't happen because off the pain but because the blood sugar level is to low. A good meal and a tin of cola (or something like this) is a good prevention!

Are there any health risks and what methods of sterilization does Chef de Tattoo use?

The risk of getting a tattoo is Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS and other infections. So it's realy important that you get a tattoo done in a safe, clean and sterile area.
Since juli 2007 the Gouverment of the Netherlands has aranged by law how a tattoostudio has to be setup, how the tattoo equipment has to be sterilized, how a tattooist has to work sterile and hygienic. Because Portugal has no rules... we follow the high standards of the Dutch tattoo law.

I have a sunburned skin?
If you are serious about getting a tattoo done than use a high level sunblock or sunscreen, to protect the area your getting your tattoo done!
